for my amp setting, i crank the bass and treble all the way up, and the mid at 5. NOTE: the second part of the verses is, i think, played by two guitars played alternately. but our band has only 1 guitarist (me!) so i just play the other guitar's part with an upstroke to somehow simulate the effect.
