I find that using the B chord above is better than the full barre chord in the seventh fret. It gives the song a chunkier sound, but of course, do what feels and sounds best to you.
E First time I crossed my heart I was beggin' baby please
At your bedside Down on my knees A When I crossed my heart E When I crossed my heart B E I crossed my heart Pretty baby over you
E Second time I crossed my heart rain came in from the south
I was lyin' there with somethin' sweet and salty in my mouth A When I crossed my heart E When I crossed my heart B E I crossed my heart pretty darlin' over you
A Well you may think the world is black and white E And you're dirty or you're clean A You better watch out you don't slip B Through those spaces in between
E Where the night gets sticky and the sky turns black
I grabbed you baby and you grabbed me back A And we crossed our hearts E We crossed our hearts B E Yeah I crossed my heart ..........
Repeat chords twice
A Well little boys little girls E Hell they know their wrongs from their rights A And once you cross your heart B You ain't never supposed to lie
E Well life ain't nothing but a cold hard ride
I ain't leavin' 'till I'm satisfied A I cross my heart E Yeah I cross my heart B E Well I cross m y heart pretty darlin' over you
