Hi folks, Does anyone have the chords for 'And the band played Waltzing Matilda', By Eric Bogle?
Well, I don't know the Eric Bogle version, but I once had a tape of some Tommy Makum & Ian Clency (Hope I spelled their names right..) live concert Where they played this and they used the following cords. Just try 'em and See if they fit. It's in a swingy 3/4 or maybe 6/8.
And the band played Waltzing Matilda
C F C a When I was a young man I carried my pack C G C And I lived the free life of a rover. C F C C a From the murray green basin to the dusty outback C G C I waltzed my Matilda all over.
